Hedges’ Cemetery’

I need to locate an old cemetery in either Dickson or Humphreys County which may be known as the Hedges’ Cemetery.I am searching for the grave of George Washington Few and believe he may have been buried with his wife’s people in the Hedges’ Cemetery.

Myatt/Moore Cemetery

This cemetery is located in southern Dickson County o­n Turkey Creek of Piney River. It is o­n the original Burell Myatt farm, now owned by Garlland Weems. It may be known now as the Moore/Myatt Cemetery. Thanks to Charlotte Petty for the records from this cemetery.

Mount Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery

Located in the church yard. Church o­n Hwy 48 between Dickson and Charlotte. In 1810, o­ne quarter of a mile northeast of the present location resides the original Smyrna Methodist Church which was built of logs. This was the first Methodist Church in Dickson County. The lob building church was rebuilt due to a fire in 1850 which served as the church home until the present church was erected in 1913.

Monk / Petty Cemetery

This Cemetery is located just over the Hickman County Line. From Dickson , go out 48 towards the Interstate. Immediately after you pass over the Interstate turn to the left o­n Plunders Creek Road. Go down this road until you cross the County line (undetermined distance at this time). The road to the Cemetery turns to the (R). The Cemetery is located up o­n a hill(on the (L) in a Pasture, Is in a closed fence , and very well taken care of.

Moses Brown Street

Moses Brown Street was born Aug. 4, 1815 and died Nov. 3, 1890. He married Elizabeth Dillard Turner the daughter of Howard Williams Turner and grand-daughter of Elder John Turner.
