There is considerable variation in the available information o­n this son of the poineer, Joseph Dickson. o­ne source claims that Robert Dickson married Patty Morrison in 1823. This is probably true and there is a family bible record that indicates he married a second time to Margaret ___________. According to the record, his second wife died Aug. 17,1834.*

Robert Dicksons name appears o­n a list of men from Dickson and Hickman Counties who served in the First Seminole War. Robeert enlisted o­n Jan. 31, 1818 at Camp Blount, and served under Capt. James L. Bell. He was discharged o­n June 30, 1818
