Samuel Johnston

by admin on November 3rd, 2004

My Great-great-great-great grandfather was Samuel Johnston, a North Carolina militia member and revolutionary war veteran. He and his family moved to Dickson Co., TN from Bladen Co., NC around 1804.

He and his brother settled in the Western part of the county in the area of Yellow Creek.Samuel died in 1817 in Dickson Co.and his will is on file in the Dickson Co. courthouse. Records indicate that he served as a juror in 1813 several times in Dickson. We have no idea where, in Dickson, Co., he is buried and would like to find his grave since he, being my direct descendant and a veteran of the Revolutionary War, should be listed as one of the patiots buried in Dickson, Co.If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.Ron Johnson
