Hudson Family Cemetery

This is a private cemetery on the Hudson homestead, mentioned in the will of John Washington Hudson (1819-1891). The Hudson homestead was part of a livery stable, inn and saloon that was run by the Hudson family (John and his brothers) on the old stagecoach route to Memphis, TN. The following markers have been found to date:

D. F. (Dennis) Hudson (1844 – 1922) (son of John and Mary)


Ada (Hudson) Wolfe (1868 – 1892)(daughter of D. F. Hudson)
R.E. Wolfe (1866 – 1909)(Husband of Ada)
(Marker for R.E. Wolfe is inscribed Woodmen of the World Memorial)
(The 1880 Census lists a Wolfe family next to the Hudson’s with a 13 year old son named Robert)


Elvin M. Hudson (1872 – 1919) (haven’t figured out who he is yet)
Eliza C. Hudson (1865 – 1942) (wife of Elvin)
