Harriet McCrory Sellers
Obit for Harriet McCrory Sellers in Nashville, TN. She was a native of Dickson County, the daughter of John McCrory and Sarah Herrin McCrory. Her grandfather and great- grandfather, James McCrory Jr. and Sr. were pioneer settlers of Dickson Co., the elder James McCrory having received a North Carolina land grant in what is now Dickson Co. for his service in the Revolutionary War. “Sunday morning at 7:30 o’clock, May 22, 1921, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earnest Inman, 5014 Charlotte Avenue, [Nashville, TN.] Mrs. Harriet McCrory Sellers, aged 77 years, widow of the late John J. Sellers. Survived by the following daughters: Mrs. D. Ellis, Hollywood, Cal. Mrs. John Easley of Dickson, Tenn., Mrs. J. H. Hood, Mrs. J. B. Everett and Mrs. Earnest Inman of this city. Funeral from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Hood, 2001 Twelfth Avenue South this [Monday] afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, May 23: services conducted by the Rev. Geroge L. Hale. Interment at family square; Mount Olivet Cemetery. The following sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers: Frank Inman, Dan Ellis, J. H. Hood, J. B. Everett, Oscar Hess and T. J. Biggers.
