In the post titled “Surnames: Hugh DICKSON, Sorting it all Out “, there are a couple of notes about which I wish to inquire.
Have recently broke a collateral line BrickWall. I am looking for information o?n John Dickson as listed o?n the 1850 and 1860 Cocke County, Cenus. He married Susannah REED ( estimated 1838-1848 ). John disappeared after the 1860 Census probably due to death in the Civil Warand Susannah remarried. If anyone is researching this family line please contact me at catherine2447@aol.comThank you in advance.
The information o?n the descendents of Hugh DICKSON, son of Joseph DICKSON, is not correct as shown o?n this Website and most other places including Nesbitt’s “The Primal Families of the Yellow Creek Valley”. There were two Hugh DICKSON. Go to “surnames” o?n this site and look for my comment under “Hugh DICKSON“.
