Looking for any information on James Gibson Smith
I am looking for information about my ggggrandfather who lived in Dickson, TN. We saw a memorial stone stating that he died near Laneer in Dickson, TN. He had a son James Gibson “Dandy Jim” Smith who settled in Texas. If anyone has any information, please let me know.
Looking for info on Williamson Smith
Williamson Smith was my great grandfather he was with the 49th Tn Co H. he joined at Palmry Tn Dec. of 1861 and died at Port Hudson, La in 1863. His wife was Mary Smith who I found in the 1870 Tn census but was not in the 1860 census.
Adams Cemetery
To get to this Cemetery, Go Hwy 46 (Yellow Creek Road ) to Fanny Branch Road, turn to ( R), go 7/10 th's of a mile. on your right there will be a road that turns back to the right ( almost doubling back over your shoulder). Turn to your (R) on this road, and the almost immediately to your left there is a short driveway. The Cemetery is immediately in front of you. At this time the grass is cut and all Stones are visible.
