Welcome to Dickson County, Tennessee

Dickson-Online was first established in 1996. At that time it was a small community site, housed on Mindspring.com. The site grew and in 1998 it became known as DCTN.com, home of Dickson County's Genealogy Project. Again the site grew. In 2003 it was decided that DCTN.com and Dickson-Online would merge, becoming the difinitive site for Dickson Countians to gather, find local information and news as well as a place for genealogists to search their roots.

Members are encouraged to submit reviews/recipes/tips & genealogy data by using the Submit News link in the left column. Looking for information on Leonard Harrell and Lettie Mae Totty. Leonard was born in Tennessee and living in Dickson County as of 1900. Particulary intersted in parentage-- he has been linked to George Washington Harrell, but I haven't found anything solid between the two.

I am looking for information about my ggggrandfather who lived in Dickson, TN. We saw a memorial stone stating that he died near Laneer in Dickson, TN. He had a son James Gibson "Dandy Jim" Smith who settled in Texas. If anyone has any information, please let me know.
