Possible Ancester

Hi my name is Sharanna Dickson and I live in Alabama. Recently I started asking my family questions about where we came from and everyone has told me we are from Dickson, Tennessee. Since I came upon that information I have been trying to find out as much as possible. Most of the old timers have died and I am left with the younger generation that seems to know just about nothing.

Pioneers of the First District of Williamson County, TN

Join descendants of the Pioneers of the First District of Williamson County, TN on August 26, 2006 for the long-awaited, first-ever reunion and discover new relatives and explore where we each fit into the big family. The reunion is being hosted by Heycuz, a genealogy online newsgroup whose members are all related on some level, most of whom are descendants of the pioneers of the First District. The original pioneer families of the First District of Williamson County include: Sullivan, Green, Stinson, Barnhill, Bradford, Beard, Walker, White, Oliphant, Carter, Duncan, Bryant, Overbey, Buttrey, Daugherty, Lampley, Jones, King, Givens, Pewit, Smith, Harrison, Hughes, Mangrum, Hall, Lankford, and Tidwell--to name a few. Originally, some of the First District was a part of Dickson and Hickman Counties, but when the Dickson, Hickman, and Williamson county lines were redrawn they all ended up in the First District of Williamson County.

Submitting Photos & Adams

I have quite a few photos I would like to share. Most are the EDWARDS and the ADAMS family. Some I have not identified. My ggrandmother, Stacy Ann WILLIAMS (Edwards), passed a few years ago and I was given these pictures right before her passing. Also, her mother was Laura EDWARDS (ADAMS) born in 1881 and passed in 1913. I have a postcard Laura wrote to her family about a week before her death. She speaks of nurses taking good care of her. Is there anyway I can find out where she passed and from what ailment?
